4 Terego hosts to enjoy maple season differently
March 23, 2026Escapade
Sugaring off has a special place in Canadian traditions. The practices have been modernized, but the festive spirit remains very present. Like a gourmet pilgrimage, this unifying and festive custom celebrates the arrival of spring. Although we are all fans of the traditional sugar shack, the Terego team offers you 4 hosts where you can taste maple differently!

Distillerie Shefford / La Cabane à Boubou
Shefford, Québec
La Cabane à Boubou is well known for offering a wide range of traditional maple products, as well as a variety of takeaway dishes, such as tourtière, stuffed pork fillet and pudding chômeur. Everything our members need to treat themselves! Since 2020, the owners, brothers Charles and Hugo Bourassa, are also running the Distillerie Shefford under the same roof. Since they’re both passionate about maple and distilling, it only made sense for them to become Quebec’s first producers of Acerum! You can find white or brown Acerum, gin, vodka and whisky, all made with maple. Plus, a delicious maple cream liqueur that’s absolutely heavenly on ice cream. Hiking enthusiasts will be delighted to enjoy hiking trails that lead to the summit of Mont Shefford, passing by a small lake.
