2022 Report – Terego RVers' year in numbers
January 13, 2023News
2022 was a year of many new developments for Terego, and we want to thank members for enthusiastically supporting us in our plans. First, in 2022, the Terego network became a Canada-wide network with hosts in every province from British Columbia to Newfoundland and Labrador.
We also developed a phone app that is now available on the Apple Store and Google Play. In addition, we set up a pilot project to accommodate off-season bookings, and we launched our very first urban RV stopover! The first number in the Terego end-of-year report is precisely related to this urban stopover…
228 Bookings
This is the number of bookings made by Terego members at one of the two urban stopovers in Trois-Rivières, QC. These RV stopovers enable Terego members with a vehicle measuring 21 feet or less to park in the heart of Old Trois-Rivières, right next to the St. Lawrence River. Alain Rivard, the co-owner of the craft brewery Le Temps d’une Pinte, came up with the idea while travelling with his campervan. “I myself have stopped at farms in the Terego network. I decided to bring this concept to the city because there are also craftspeople to promote in downtown Trois-Rivières.” In addition to the brewery, five other local producers and craftspeople joined the project to the delight of the Terego members who visited them!

308 Bookings with the Most Popular Host
The Trois-Rivières urban stopover was certainly one of the most popular places during the 2022 season, but not the MOST popular. The most popular Terego host was Big Axe Brewery in New Brunswick with 308 visitors! Another brewery? It seems like Terego members enjoy good beer!

1,343 RV Parking Spots
In total, there were nearly 20,000 bookings for RV overnight parking during the season. Not bad! Fortunately, the Terego network is vast, and there are many hosts. Specifically, we ended the season with 434 hosts offering 1,343 RV parking spots across Canada. Did you know that Terego hosts offer an average of three spots for RV camping on their sites? Some offer as many as five. More than half of the RV parking spots are large enough to accommodate motorhomes and travel trailers measuring 55 feet or less.
65% Availability Rate
The large number of RV parking available is the reason the availability rate remained high all summer: between 60% and 80%. Even on the busiest day — Saturday, July 9 — 65% of RV parking was available. This is good news for campers who like to choose their destination at the last moment.

57 Bookings
The most active Terego member in 2022 made a total of 57 bookings! This member thereby sustained his own record. That’s right — he was also the most active member in 2021 with… brace yourself… a total of 57 bookings! So, we can draw two conclusions: He is consistent, and he is a great proponent of Terego.
$300 of Local Products as a Prize
In 2022, the Terego team decided to improve the prize for the Terego Photo Contest and give the winner a basket of local products worth $300. All the products you see in the photo were carefully (and lovingly) selected by Michèle and Karine, the founders of Terego. We received some beautiful photos of RV stopovers, and choosing the finalists was no easy task. In the end, member Hans Germain won the prize with a photo taken at the Miniferme du Boisé (photo on the cover). Rest assured; the competition will be back in 2023 with an equally tasty prize!

55 Hosts Available in Winter
In 2021, we asked members if they would like to be able to travel with Terego in the winter, and 10% said yes. So, we worked on updating the website and contacted hosts to set up our winter pilot project. Fifty-five hosts in five Canadian provinces are now available to welcome RV travellers who are also winter adventurers! Among these hosts, Dee and Tom warmly welcome you to their beautiful forest on the Bruce Peninsula. Or you can experience an adventure in the wild at Kanatha-Aki Nature Center in the Laurentians. Terego members can easily find all available off-season hosts using the new “available off season” search filter.

Whether you are winter campers, prefer the warmth of the south, or are patiently waiting for spring to get your RV out, we wish you all a great winter!
We will see you on the road again at the beginning of the season, on May 1. We cannot wait for you to use our new phone app (available on the Apple Store and Google Play) and let us know how it goes.
